Today's Appeal Court win, by Jason Kenney’s Alberta government, adds further fuel to our resolve in fighting the carbon tax

FT. ST. JOHN - Upon hearing news of the Alberta government's win in the Alberta Court of Appeal --finding the federally imposed carbon tax unconstitutional -- Conservative Party of BC leader Trevor Bolin announced the following:

“As British Columbia’s ONLY Conservative Party, we have stood strong in our opposition to the Carbon Tax which was first imposed by the BC Liberal’s, and increased over and over since then, including by the current BC NDP government of Premier John Horgan”.

Bolin continued, “Today's Appeal Court win, by Jason Kenney’s Alberta government, adds further fuel to our resolve in fighting the carbon tax.”

“From the beginning of it’s imposition by the BC Liberals, we have been clear in our opposition to this green-washed money grab, that hurts all British Columbians no matter where they live in our province. The Carbon Tax has never done what it was intended, and it has failed in being revenue neutral as promised it would be.”

“We know that technologies currently developed, and being developed, are much better able to do the job of protecting our environment – that’s a fact!”.

Leader Trevor Bolin concluded his comments this afternoon by stating, “With what has happened today in neighbouring Alberta, Conservatives here in BC will continue with in our commitment to see the carbon tax scrapped!”
