LANGLEY- The BC Conservatives stand against any proposal to introduce mobility pricing, and encourage Lower Mainland residents to vote against municipal candidates this fall who support raising the cost of living through implementing mobility pricing. With the continuing tax assault from the GreeNDP government, this will surely be a crippling blow to commuters and businesses that frequent the roads across the Lower Mainland daily. “With no viable alternative in sight, this proposal is ludicrous at best,” said Justin Greenwood, Interim Deputy Leader.Read more

The BC Conservative Party proposes a progressive health premium instead of the NDP's proposed payroll tax. Under the current proposal, the NDP government is simply downloading the cost of MSP onto municipalities, businesses, and public sector organizations, and ultimately the public, while creating a new drag on the economy.
The NDP's payroll tax, which the NDP is disguising as a "health tax," is being implemented in 2019 even though Medical Service Plan premiums won't be eliminated until 2020. This means employers will have to pay twice in 2019.Read more
Scott Anderson, Interim Leader of the BC Conservative Party, made the following observations on Tuesday's NDP budget:

VERNON-The BC Conservative Party is the only party to present an original election platform during the Kelowna West by-election.
"Our party has released platform planks leading up to and during the by-election in Kelowna West," said Scott Anderson, Interim Leader of the BC Conservatives. "No other party has bothered to update their platform at all. The BC Liberals have no vision other than their leader's announcement that he intends to make the members of other parties' 'skin crawl'."
"As for the Greens and NDP, neither have presented a clear vision of what they plan to do, other than to work on shutting down natural resource development and start trade wars with other provinces," said Anderson. "We ask the voters of Kelowna West to vote for a party with a vision, a plan to arrive at that vision, and the integrity to follow through with it."Read more
BC Conservative Party Interim Leader Scott Anderson today issued the following statement on Family Day:
"Families are the backbone of our society, and on behalf of the BC Conservatives I wish everyone in British Columbia a wonderful Family Day. May your families grow closer today.
VERNON BC- The BC Conservatives say that it's time for politicians in BC to stop wrecking the provinces' economy with high taxation, attacks on the resource sector, and a ridiculous trade war with another province.
"The BC GreeNDP has barely been elected and yet they've already closed down mine projects, announced the destruction of the cannabis growing industry, and are planning on raising taxes even further on gas," said Scott Anderson, Interim Leader of the BC Conservatives. "Not content with that, they're now setting about destroying our wine industry as collateral damage in a completely avoidable trade war with another NDP government in another province by trying to attack our oil industry as well. If it wasn't so tragic for working families in BC, it would make a great comedy skit. It's as if they picked up a bat and started flailing blindly at our economy like a piñata."Read more
