British Columbia’s Conservatives are hoping that the NDP will use the opportunity of their new mandate to move swiftly on the many new issues that face British Columbians

As the newly minted Legislature is reconvened next month, British Columbia’s Conservatives are hoping that the NDP will use the opportunity of their new mandate to move swiftly on the many new issues that face British Columbians, as well as those that have been crippling our economy and causing hardship for quite some time.

In a statement today Trevor Bolin, Leader of the Conservative Party of BC, said;

While it’s imperative that Mr. Horgan and his cabinet create effective plans for dealing with the COVID-19 crisis, they must also step up to issues such as forestry plant closures, and the problems being faced by small businesses, which are the backbone of our province.

We will continue to champion a call for companies, (including those in our resource industries), to plant roots in the communities they serve, while retuning ownership of industries to British Columbians”, Bolin continued.

“And finally, we call on the Premier John Horgan to create an environment which recognizes that industry can and will be needed to play a pivotal role in the recovery of our provincial economy.

We will be watching closely for the new government’s actions”, the Conservative leader concluded.
