Our farmers and ranchers are a valuable part of the fabric of our province
Let’s all together raise our forks to the B.C. foods we love
A message from Conservative BC leader Trevor Bolin on Canada’s Agriculture Day:
Across this great province tens of thousands of farmers and ranchers work through all kinds of challenges to provide us with the quality foods that B.C. families enjoy at their dinner tables every day.
We rely on the bounty from BC’s breadbasket of the Peace River region, the Interior with some of the oldest cattle ranches in Canada, the Okanagan with its orchards and vineyards and the lower mainland and Fraser Valley providing our fresh produce and dairy products. We also cannot forget our vibrant west-coast fishery and Vancouver Island with a buffet of all of these things.
Our farmers and ranchers are a valuable part of the fabric of our province, contributing nearly $4 billion every year into B.C.‘s economy.
Today is Canadian Agriculture Day (#CdnAgDay): let’s all together raise our forks to the B.C. foods we love, and those who provide it, grow it and raise it.
