My family has lived in the south peace for four plus decades, we are a ranch, logging, oil and gas, and guide outfitting family. I left Dawson Creek in my early 20’s after completing a 2- year social services worker diploma at northern lights college. I worked for the province of BC for Social Services for nearly 20 years. After leaving government I did corporate sales at the newly minted Encana events centre for the first five years it was open. 8 years ago, I moved into my current role as executive director of the Dawson Creek and District Chamber of Commerce. I absolutely love the opportunity to speak with and for our business community and have a deep pride for the south peace and those who live in it.
In 2018 I became the Team Lead for what is known as the Concerned Citizens for Caribou Recovery, our group lobbied government to keep the backcountry open for recreational purposes and enjoyment. The group continues to work with government and lobby for land access for all.
In my downtown time I spend many hours outdoors hunting, fishing, kayaking, spending time with friends and family and spending time on my property.
